Hi there everybody,

I`m new to this forum, but I hope someone has an answer to my question. I`ve searched for days now but I can`t find anything.

At this moment, I have an assigment for my university in The Netherlands (Europe). My task is to find out information about spas, wellness centra, salons, and so on.

I already found a lot of info Very Happy

but some remain unclear Confused

.

- how many spas, salons, wellness centra are there in UAE? are there any statistics available or does someone know some more info about this?

- how many suppliers are there for all these salons, spas, wellness centra?

- in which city in UAE are the most spas, wellness centra, salons?

I really hope that someone can help me because i`m desperate Crying or Very sad

. This assigment is for my graduation.

this forum is intended for EFL teachers (or candidates). You'd better google and get information from there.

Well, I already did for a couple of days. I tought that someone here might know some information about this item because of the many different cultures here. The problem for most of the companies in the world is that they don`t have time for students, but they forget that students are the future. Most of them have forgotten that they also were students.

maybe try calling a stat centre somewhere in the uae or change your topic.. Wink

Yes, Dubai is the city with the most spas, salons etc. A lot of spas and salons are associated with hotels. This is because male stylists can only work in ladies salons in such locations, although I hear this is changing in Dubai...
Perhaps an interesting factoid for your research : )

I think I can conclude that most of the spas are in dubai itself.
My investigation is about the complete United Arab Emirates. that`s why my search was a little bit difficult. But idd looking at Dubai alone there are more then 120 spas alone, and thats a lot for 1 city.

I think i`m going to contact a couple of these spas to ask where they get their suppllies from. Is there also something a site like dubaiguide for Saudi Arabia? because that is the second country I have to investigate. the last one, India, was easier to find.

So if anyone has some more tips to find spas in Saudi Arabia, I would love to hear them.

I think you'll be hard pressed to get anyone on this board who just happens to have any of those statistics. I would say that was true of most online forums related to the UAE that are no directly associated w/ the industry in question. You've got a lot of leg work ahead of you, but I don't think this is the appropriate place.
