I'm curious if anybody has had any experience with this school that they would like to pass on. |

Dear Hsin-chu,
Check out the post (a few posts down) titled "Schools that won't fail students..."
The initials (ITI) appear to be exactly the same......but in Taiwan, you never know.
Better double-check to see if it is indeed the same establishment.
Good luck!

Do you want the long list or the short list? |

Aristotle;
What do you mean long or short list? Is there that much info out there? |

I read the job information posts concerning ITI. I'm not sure what others think, but it seems inconclusive. |

Here's a recent post from another board concerning this school:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As someone who has come and gone from this institution recently, I'd like to offer my two cent's worth. I can't speak for Dongshan campus having never worked there but I can speak for Guangfu campus where I was based. I will try not to offer my opinion, just the facts as they were/are.
The good; my fellow teachers at KF campus were , for the most part highly intelligent, highly motivated and dedicated individuals. Many of the students are similarly very hard working and motivated. The resources at the school are excellent. The pay is competitive and the perqs quite good.
The bad; teachers are judged every term by the students and can be let go quite arbitrarily. I'm not sure about the third and fourth term culling which others have referred to, but that was about the time that a few of us did leave, by choice or not. While students can judge you, the teacher can't do likewise. What I mean is that there is an unofficial policy in place that everyone must get an "A" regardless of the quality of their work. In my case I was even told to make up new grades if the old ones didn't add up to A's.
Overall, having gone through the whole ITI experience, I would advise any friend not to work there
as I found it to be, for myself anyway, a very unpleasant experience.

It seems that the school is what you make of it. Not suited to everyone, but if you understand and accept the conditions that exist at the school, you are not likely to have too many troubles. |
