Anyone know about this school?
Salary?
Accommodation?
Students?
I'm being lazy by asking and not searching!
Thanks,
Zeke |

It is not bad. Certainly there are worse places. And better. |

If Dave gave prizes for the most pointless posts, this one would be among the favourites. At least the spelling is correct this time, Scotty. |

Perhaps this explains scott47's equally lazy-pointless reply...?
sorry I too have nothing to add.... |

Please leave Uncle Scott in peace.
He needs some rest after a long day of teaching! |

Ya Sheikh... doesn't that description match most of the employers perfectly.
I rather agree that it matches the question... in laziness level...

Given the idleness of the OP I thought I was being generous in making such a useful comment ! And I stick to what I said.
DCC is fair to middling. Not great but not awful. They used to have a lot of "reverts" on the faculty. I am not sure if that is still the case.
Accommodation is reasonable. They pay an education allowance for dependant children - which is capped. Leave is generous. |

I heard something about Dammam Community College employees having access to KFUPM facilities. Does anyone know if this is true? Or is this too specific or energetic for this thread ? |

The 'facilities' do include the KFUPM course materials; not so sure that's an advantage.
Hard to say what other facilities you are referring to. Most people can gain access to the library if they want to. And there are supermarkets, gyms and restaurants outside the KFUPM campus, in the real world. |

One of the pluses of KFUPM is the location. The campus where staff live is large and provides opportunities for walking, running or cycling. By contrast the compound where DCC faculty live is miniscule.
Of course KFUPM does not compare with ARAMCO on the other side of the fence, where, I might add. there are very few TEFLers. |

Thank you all.
I have no better idea about DCC that when I started.
I know what to expect on this KSA forum - wide and varied answers that usually have nothing to do with the OP's post. It seems to me to be a way for you all - the same usual suspects - to talk with each other. Amusing to me greatly.
Thanks, Zeke |

Have you looked at the DCC website ? Salaries are from about 9,000 upwards. 60 days vactaion but more in practice. Stdeunts are not as good as at universities. Upper Elementary/Lower Intermediate. |

Thank you scot47.
I looked in a number of places concerning DCC outside of this forum and know a lot about DCC. I was hoping against hope to get some personal remarks from teachers that are there or have been there.

See what happens when you admit from the start that you are being lazy and not doing any research yourself.
It would be nice if a current employee showed up...
