I've heard Hong Kong and Macau no longer issue Z visas (at least to third country nationals). It's supposed to last until October at least. Has anyone else heard this?

I flew to HK to do mine on Friday, March 28th and was told the same thing. Then on Monday, they emailed my employer and informed him they could do them again. I got it finished in 1 day but as of April 3rd, although they will still be able to issue them there will be no more same day pick up. It's really busy there. Get ready to wait in line.

Thanks. I will have to pass this on to some friends of mine who are off on HK visa runs shortly.

To clarify, you are sure that whether one goes to a visa agent company, travel agency, or even the Chinese Visa office directly, there is no longer an option to pay a higher fee for same day service. Yes?

BTW, is that also the case for F and L visas?

lfaristotle, are you querying whether or not expedited Z visa processing is available from visa agents in HK? as far as i know, visa agents cant get you a Z visa. at least the three different agents i've used in HK in the past, including forever bright trading, cant get the Z visa.
