Greetings,
Ok my 3rd and final thread!
Ive been speaking with a number of contractors and just getting through to the right person is bad enough but then the whole subject of what BAe of Aramco would pay just seems to be completely classified information that will be revealed only at the final hour-what is that about?
Anyway, is there a single straight shooter (maybe not the best choice of words in this part of the world) who can tell me (even generally) what these places are paying for a Native Speaker with 10 years exp teaching mainly in the Gulf and an MA in TESOL? I was assuming not including housing etc that SR20000 would be a minimum or have I got it wrong?
What about with a BA with the same experience-will my MA make much difference?
I think BAe are the only people that are providing a decent compound am I right?
Are there better places to work than via contractors?
Many thanks,
Jim |

With BAE youi could expect to make about 42,000 pounds sterling a year. You would get three air tickets a year, one of which MUST be on Saudi Arabian Airlines, but for each air tricket you get 5000 Saudi Rials, and so you can save a bit more on that.
Working for BAE also locks you in to their pension system, and you would become eligible for some free BAE shares - these to be returned if you work for less than 5 years for the company.
But why don't you contact BAE Systems directlly? They will give you all these details if you go for an interview. |

People aren't hired by Aramco directly; they work for contractors.
BAe remuneration changes. Danger allowances come and go. |

Thanks Neil and Stephen!
I had contacted BAE but it was through a contractor. At least that was what I'd thought She said she'd forwarded my papers to the next stage but was waiting for BAE to get back to her. She said she couldn't give me a real idea of package until the papers get to the next stage.
Aramco- an even murkier picture! Can anyone give me an idea about salaries as the wait for my papers to crawl through the 'stages' is getting tiring to say the least!
Many thanks,
Jim |
