You will have to find that information on your own usually. Unless you are in a smaller emirate, which only have a few schools. You can usually find out all the information you need to make the choices once you have a firm job offer in hand. Mind you it also depends the university you are teaching for. Some of them have FANTASTIC HR people, who really do go the "extra mile" to help families acclimatize and adjust, and some don't.
So what it comes down to is when you are getting job offers, compare not only the salary, and housing allowances, but also pay attention to the educational allowances. Find out about the schools in each of those emirates, and what they charge (most of those schools have webpages, and if not ask the possible employer for some current faculty with children you can email and ask about the schooling). Then make your decisions based on all of that. |

Schools are one more reason why people are leaving. It is increasingly difficult to find school places in smaller emirates and even the big city of Abu Dhabi has no decent school places for incomers. School costs are ever increasing.
There is no renegotiating on renewal - sorry. |

Like everything else in the emirates, the prices of private school tuition is going up.
There was an article in the gulf news that is discussing how schools are being capped to raising tuition a total of 16% over the last two years.
http://www.gulfnews.com/nation/Education/10200366.html
the real issue is how prices are raising in AD, Dubai, and Sharjah more than the smaller emirates. |

Be very careful about coming to Al Ainor one of the smaller Emirates if you are concerned about your child's education. If he or she is close to high school age be very careful
Fact: in AL Ain there are no schools of worth. AAESS has been in a decrepit rut for years, retains few staff and would be closed down in the UK. It nearly was by the ministry last year.
Choiefat follows a bizarre test test test curriculum and employs a number of non-qualified teachers. ENS Al Ain have lost about half of their staff due to (local) managerial incompetance.
Ajman, RAK et al have very little of worth either.
Do some deep googling on these and think carefully before commiting.
It is a shame that HCT et al seem not to have invested in their own schools for their staff and others. There is no benchmarking or quality control that would be recognised certainly in Europe, Australia and I imagine Canada. Can't speak for the 50 states. |

| Ah, sorry, no code. I have a four year old, another on the way, and a wife who is from a non-primary English speaking country. The questions you are asking, are many of the questions I need answers to...so I'm following this thread.... sorry for the confusion.... |
