Anyone know about Harry Gao? Supposedly he is an American intermediary in Florida. He respresents for unis in China that offer between 6 and 10 large MONTHLY for teaching. I know, I know, its bs, but a friend told me about the ad (she is hoping against reason that it's true) and I am trying to find out more about him, all she has is word of mouth so far.

uhhh, I'm guessing he means 6000-10000 RMB per month, rather that 6000-10000 dollars. That would be roughly 850-1500 US dollars per month.

6000-10,000 RMB is a good salary for a public university. Check out the ads on Dave's for comparison and you'll find the range goes downward to 4000. You might get 20,000 or more at an international school, but getting hired by such is a difficult proposition.

Well, I asked my friend three times, and she said that the salary offered was 6000 - 10,000 USD, not RMB. Anyway, I told her that it was ridiculous and to ignore it, but I want to see the add and the outfit that offers it myself. Either she is wrong (more likely) or the ad is manure - I'm leaning towards her being wrong at this point.

If the money for teaching at uni's were even a third of that ridiculous price, I wouldn't have bailed on China, thats for sure~!

The OP is asking whether it really pays 6000-10,000 USD.
