There are now two English schools offering the CELTA in HCMC.
1. ILA/StudyGroup
2. Apollo/Prudential
In addition, Language Link offers the CELTA in Hanoi. |

Dear Friendly
Your comment concerning the CELTA grades at ILA is not based on any evidence but rumour or gossip. I doubt it. However, its worth commenting on how the CELTA is assessed since there has been quite a lot of discussion on this forum and Saigon ESL concerning different TEFL certificates.
The CELTA is internally assessed and externally moderated by a Cambridge ESOL approved assessor who samples portfolios and teaching practice and who discusses and agrees the grades for all candidates. The assessor is not the CELTA trainer/tutor.
If there were complaints concerning the grades, Cambridge ESOL Teaching Awards would request samples of the portfolios etc to determine if there was any discrepancies.
The previous post is just another anti-ILA statement with no support. |
