Howdy,
I have an upcoming phone interview with - Australian College of Kuwait. I found some information about the College already on previous threads I am curious if anyone got some new information to share. Also, what kind of things will they ask during the interview?

The well-meaning VS speaks without direct knowledge of the situation here, which is rather grim. The fact is that a number of instructors have had enough and quit and several department heads have either been fired or are on their way out because they have displeased either the owner, his family members who work at ACK or the new president of ACK, a ruthless brute who will gladly crush anyone in order to please his masters. You dont hear much about this because weve been threatened with instant dismissal if were caught posting to this forum. Ill take the chance. Stay away. There are plenty of other places to work in Kuwait and other gulf countries where there isnt a pervasive sense of dread and doom.

Ive got my stopwatch out. Lets see how long it takes the quisling bje to refute my claims.

Nobody at ACK carries the title of Professor.

Teachers in the Foundation Programme are called " Instructors" and in the Business and Engineering Depts, they are lecturers, with only one senior lecturer in each at present. There are only 5 PhD holders in the place.

Half of the English Foundation instructors are leaving, and about the same in the Business dept, where chaos reigns, and instructors are teaching up to 28 hours per week, with no overtime.
