Hi everyone! I'm new here. I'm considering options for TEFL and where to go abroad. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about American TESOL Institute's Special Korea or Special Thailand project?

Are they a good place to get a TEFL cert? And are programs like these reliable or are they just scams?

I can't comment specifically on your proposed tefl course.

As for courses, generally, I'd say just pick a program offered by a local college or a CELTA for reputability.

However, do a cert mainly for your home market because certs are seldom needed in these parts. Your BA is all that's necessary. If you lack any post secondary credentials, a cert won't make up for their absence.
