What advice do those of you currently living in Mexico have regarding health insurance? I'm 57 years young and am in EXCELLENT health and hardly ever go to the doctor (which is probably why I'm in EXCELLENT health 'cause they never get a chance to pump me full of drugs or find some excuse to cut me open ).
Anyway, I don't expect to have any type of insurance through my employer (once I get one) in Mexico and am wondering what you guys would recommend regarding insurance. I'll be pretty much depending on my earnings for all my living expenses.
Many thanks for any advice you might have. |

Any day now, I'll be getting my FM3, which will allow me to buy private health insurance here. I'm thinking of joining the plan that a friend (a long-time resident) has, which is connected to a big hospital fairly near me in Mexico City. Based on my age (62), I'll be paying about $1500 MN monthly. |
