Hello Folks,
I'm a credentialed/liscensed teacher working in Los Angeles. I'm considering moving to an Asian country most likey Thailand, Viet Nam or Indonesia. I would like to hear from people who may have worked in these different countries the pros and cons.
From reading many of the posts, Thailand seems great, I just wonder if its too travelled, touristy, discovered.
Viet Nam looks good, but many posts people complain about boredom and lack of culture.
And I don't know much about Indonesia but people complain about living in the big cities.
Anxious to hear from veterans with experince.
What area is best in Thailand?

Well, generally, you'll find Confucian countries (China, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore) to be less fun than places like Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. I left Japan out I've never been there.
Are you married or single? Male or female? An urban person or a country person? How old are you? Do you have any particular interest in any of these countries? All of these will affect your decision.
Me, I'm heading for Pattaya. I'm not sure what that says about my character. Wait a minute, I am sure. |
