Interested in teaching in Indonesia. Have read alot of postings here, whre people are complaining about Jakarta, crowded, dirty. With the land of 10,000 islands are there good language schools on other islands or places on the coast?
Has anyone taught in Thailand or Viet Nam that can compare their experiences in Indonesia?
Dude! Try Bali, Sulawesi or Sumatra even. Just keep looking until you find something. Jakarta is not the only place with decent schools. Not only that not so decent schools provide housing and a salary that's either enough to party every weekend or save it for travelling during your vacations (which there are a ton of). If you plan to teach for awhile and not make a career out of it you'll enjoy yourself most anywhere as long as you remember these are corrupt third world countries you plan on staying in!
