Does anybody have any experience teaching in Slovakia and if so can you tell me a bit more about it. Also if anybody else is planning to go, it would be great to hear from you.
Im heading to Bratislava in October to teach in a private school. Ive recently completed over 100 hours of TEFL training so this will be my first job as a TEFL teacher.

There is lots of info on teaching in Slovakia already on this forum, and on the Czech Rep forum as well. You might scan through older posts. It's really hard to answer such general questions...if you have more detailed queries, you're more likely to get useful info. |

I had planned on going there myself...preferably in August. How did you find this school and do you know how reputable it is? Are they paying part of your visa fees or helping to find housing? Just wondering. I see a lot of ads, but for the most part they either want more experience than I have at the moment or are just too good to be true.
(I have a 100 hour cert and one for teaching Business English as well, but apparently those aren't that great for getting decent pay.) |

Hi.
The best advice I can give is if you want to work in Slovakia, DO NOT work for Valens, unless you enjoy being taken advantage of. Other than that don't work for them!!! |
