| Let's say one had an older relative and wanted the relative to come stay in China with him or her for an extended period. Is there any visa available for that sort of thing? |

| Well, a principal of one of the international schools has a child graduating high school and the 80 year old parents have to do what everyone else does -arrange an itinerary and book a hotel...so ? |

| You don't suppose a parent can be included as an "accompanying family member" on a Z-visa? |

Zero, I'd use a good visa consultant with strong guanxi, and ask them what your/his/her options are,eh ?

Don't the embassies say you can apply for a visa to visit relatives in China? Whilst I imagine this is aimed at overseas Chinese visiting family back home, would it not also apply to people visiting family who are foreign residents of China (assuming they can prove that they are relatives, and that the person they are visiting is legally resident in China)?
Does anyone have any experience of this? |
