I will be travelling in SE Asia from May to September this year. Just wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to pick up some tefl work along the way at this time. I have a TEFL cert (not 120 hours) and 6 months experience in Europe. I would be prepared to do even voluntary work that provided room/board if there was no paid work available....

Thanks.

If you check the international job board you will see that Apollo, ILA and Language Link are all seeking teachers for their Young Learner Summer Programmes.

deessell2, are you teaching in VN currently? What do you think of the summer program with Language Link? are they a good organization to work with generally?

Thanks

Norbdemn, as I wrote in the PM to you, I currently work at Language Link. I can't comment on the Summer Programme as I have never worked on it, I don't teach YL.

In Vietnam I have only ever worked for Language Link so I have no other schools to compare with. But, I can say that the only other schools that I would work for in Hanoi, would be ACCET and possibly RMIT and neither of these run YL Summer Programmes.

Now is a VERY good time to arrive in Hanoi. There is lots of work. Just don't leave it too late.

How late is too late?

I'm arriving in Hanoi in July - but not looking for summer temp work (obviously).
