I wonder what the main reasons are why people choose to give up their jobs or life at home to escape the rat race. Question

jobs or life at home? Aparently you didn't graduate with a liberal arts degree in the mid-nineties. I got into this because there were few jobs for recent college grads at that time. I was going to have to move somewhere, maybe the west coast, maybe the east coast, I decided I'd rather live abroad than either of those two options. It started as a stalling tactic, but much to my surprise I found a rewarding career.

I am sure that some recent grads get into because they don't know what to do. Some like Melee find that it is a rewarding career. I have found it to be rewarding and plan to go back and get my teaching certificate in the US.
