Bar(s)? Any bands/entertainment coming through? Can you get any nurses onto the compound? Do the hospitals in that area even let the nurses go out? Thanks.

It sounds to me like Saudi Arabia is not a place that fits your lifestyle. Perhaps Dubai? Or even better the Far East...

PMU is not for you. Maybe your tastes would be better met at BAe where every second house has a bar and there are regular visits from the Ethiopian and Eritrean ladies of the "Afrika Korps".

Do they favour this style of attire?

Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but to mine the comfort ladies at BAe are much more attractive than the German princelings to whom Cleo alludes. Nasty lot that House of Windsor (formerly known as Saxe-Coburg-Gotha).

I'm aware of the social situation with BAE but I am not one of the lucky chosen ones to work for them. That's why I'm asking about the social situation at PMU. Are there Saudis on the compound there? Saudis on a compound tend to kill the social life, so this is another way of asking the same question.

If fornication is a high priority for you I would not recommend KSA.

Sweeping generalizations about the whole country do not help. I know what it's like living the the KSA. If you have specific info about the social lives on certain compounds, then that would be helpful. I know in general, the KSA is not exactly the greatest place to be for 99% of Westerners and we're pretty much all here for the money, but there are little pockets of life in this big sandbox.

I don't know if there are Saudis on the compound, but it is possible. What I do know is that the PMU compound has a wide mix of many nationalities, and that quite a large percentage of them are Muslim. You certainly cannot expect a BAE lifestyle on the tame PMU compound. Social activities of the type you describe would have to occur very discreetly if at all. PMU is a new institution, and the people who work there feel that their behavior, private and public, is subject to scrutiny by the administration.

That's not to say there is no fun there. It just tends to be quieter fun than I think you are looking for.

Of course while we're on the subject of the family formerly knowns as Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, we should not neglect to mention your personal hero, a most illustrious scion of the noble British family of Von Battenberg.

The highlight of the Social Round at PMU compound is the weekly Bridge Game at the Squirrel's house on Friday evening -- the Turtle has even been known to put in an appearance.

At this mother of all knees-up you will see auctions unknown elsewhere, and as a result of shenanigans in the dealing, the most exotic of shapely distributions. The play includes the rarest of squeezes and finesses and strip plays followed by throw-ins. Rumor even has it there is the possibility of the Italan Blue Club becoming a regular feature next season.

Unfortunately, the personal hero of Uncle Scot, the Earl Mountbatten of Burma, was assasinated by the IRA in Mullach Mr.
What a tragedy, Uncle Scot!
