I like those tunes and the organ grinders too. I usually give them a few pesos just to keep this remnant of Mexico City's past alive. |
So YOU'RE responsible! I've never seen anyone give them anything more than a scowl. Stop, I implore you! |
So, if you could choose, what kind of live Mexican music would you prefer to hear on the street? |

It would be Tigres del Norte, every day and all day my friend!
At least they play instruments. Organ grinders excel at turning a crank. If they AT LEAST had a little monkey in a hat begging for change, then I'd be entertained.

| You return to your home country and can't understand why there are no subtitles when you turn on the tv. |

I guess I haven't been here long enough for that to happen. That's why I tend to avoid eating at Chinese restaurants. I wonder if the expensive ones are any better than the ones I can afford, which seem to feature a buffet of my least favorite Chinese dishes. |

| You've definitely been teaching for too long when you start correcting grammar for your friends or family. I really try not to do it, but I've now become accustomed to listening for errors and correcting them constantly. Bad habit, I know! |

And that too
...you get in a car and think it's ok to not bother with the seatbelt because you're only driving round the city not out on the highway. |
