Curious if anyone here knows what is going on with the Berlitz Union and why they haven't updated their websites in the last couple of years.

Has the Union folded?

Berlitz General Union

Berlitz BLOG

I assume it's still a crap company to work for.

That's a big asumption. No the union is still active. I don't belong to it, not sure why it hasn't been updated. Unions in Japan are not particularly strong.

Berlitz Union hasn't updated thier website in 3 years (since 2005) or their blog since 2006.

Have they packed it in or are they still active?

Do they have a new website?

Here is the new blog. Around 65 teachers in Tokyo have been striking over salary increases recently.

This is the parent union website and it has the news stories. http://nambufwc.org/

Also search Berlitz on youtube.

Things get busy but priorities have to be re-organized to get things updated. People are working on it.

The union just recently conducted a sound truck tour. They and some affiliate unions own a sound truck (thankfully blue, not black) and went around a few areas informing the public about the real money that Berlitz and Benesee, their owners, make while giving peanuts to the staff.

The strikes at the school have had an interesting effect, it's now possible to get overtrained as often training methods are canceled to cover for striking members, some of whom have been striking daily.
