I assume that you have done a search and read all the negative comments about this organization and this contract. Pretty much 100% negative.
There is good reason that they only do one year contracts. Few people seem to be able to tolerate more than one.

Hello VS.
Yes, I have read all the comments and I am inclined to turn the offer down. Just thought it would be a step in the door, so to speak. |

I think you'll find that w/ your qualifications that there are better contracts to be had in the UAE and around the Gulf. You don't need the aggro that comes w/ working for Sabis/Choeuifat. |

You can do better money wise.
Though Sabis has a bad reputation among teachers, they must get some good people to work for them. My daughter, (non English speaker), has gotten a very good education there, they even assigned her a peer tutor who was fluent in her native language, as well as English. I was impressed with the care and individual attention they gave her. |

Probably you can do much better, go for tertiary even,. but bear this unfortunate factor in mind--despite your quals, and maybe even your passport, is your background, um, how can I put this. . .Eurocentric? It matters at some schools--generally not in colleges and unis. |

I can't see how anyine could really consider this as a serious offer....the hours for one are enough to put most people off. A 6 day working week and a lousy salary........
Try for the BEd programme at HCT - money would be much better as would the general conditions. |

Mmmmm by " Eurocentric" I think you mean is my experience all in Europe? To a large degree, yes. However, I have 6 years EFL experience. Got my feet wet in Thailand, then went to China then finished up at a Uni in Korea. |

I think he was referring to your racial background. I'm not sure why he was trying to be so cryptic. This is a commonly discussed topic on here.
