Suresh Chandar reports
The government says it will increase the number of schools designated for ethnic minority children. But it also revealed that only three percent of such students had gained entry to local universities in the last academic year. |

| It would be very difficult for any "ethnic" kid to succeed in this system, unless they started right from kindergarten. Chinese is just too hard to learn in maturity - there's no time to catch up if you start late, even a couple of years. Besides, you'd be so bored you'd start sticking bicycle spokes in your eyes to keep yourself awake in class. Hell, I do this myself, and I'm the teacher. |
