Got a university offer from this U- it looks really good via website and commentary; ten years since civil war; still lots of mines; very motivated students; looks like a really excellent opportunity. Any info from anyone?
Thanks! |

Scott-
Tell me more. Sometimes here at Dave's we engage in banter, but this is a pretty serious moment for us. My research has suggested that this was perhaps the most diverse and moderate of the former Yugoslav republics. If you have real information about this, please write again, because this could be a crucial piece of information for us. Thanks. |

Bosnia is and was seen as a bridgehead into Europe by the Bearded Crazies.
I would say avoid at all costs. Do not be misled by all this talk about "Cultural Diversity" and "Tolerance". What these guys are after is the creation of the New Caliphate ! |

Among the new nations that have come out of the old Yugoslavia, the population and the religion cited in the CIA reports and even Wikipedia seem to be the most diverse, with around 30% Muslim; as opposed to Kosovo, for example, where it is around 92%. They also have just celebrated ten years without war. An old college classmate of mine was the US Ambassador there, and he still sees it with great affection. My limited internet search has not yielded much about the Muhajedin being active in BH. Help me out on this one. |
