Just wondering-- anyone thinking of signing with them for this coming year? I'm kinda interested in Oman, don't know if this is the best deal. (Been offered 1150 OMR/month, plus housing, airfare, etc...)
Is this worth it? (Or, if CfBT is worth it, either?)
I have 6 years of ESL experience in SKorea @ the University level, CELTA, (non-relevant)MA....
Any comments/suggestions welcome.
Thanks |

May I ask what subjects your bachelor's and your non-relevant MA are in? Also, did you dicker for the 1150? |

BA/MA in Politics/IR, no dickering (had to look that one up )
"Based on your qualifications and experience" was the verbiage used,
(even though many will say SK uni "experience' can be somewhat misleading, though that's a different matter altogether... )
that was the straight-up offer...Does it make a difference? |

That is not a bad offer for Oman. Just make sure that you have read about on the board and seen the 'issues' with some of these colleges. If you can take living far from the city lights... and enjoy outdoor activities... and have a high tolerance for disorganization, you could probably get along for a contract.
These recruiters do seem to have their ups and downs... but your pay normally arrives on time.
