If that's you in the photo, I bet you can make $$$ in professions other than teaching English!

Seriously, I would love to hear what the folks in-the-know will share to answer your question!

All I would suggest is that you would be fairly guaranteed to start at the highest salary rate on your prospective employer's scale.

As Taylor said, if thats you in the pic, you'd get DOS position - without the interview

I found that having a Masters didnt amount to a whole row of beans during my 2 yrs there - one in Hanoi, the other in Saigon.

Universities in general paid teachers less than private schools. And private schools (certainly the ones I came across) didnt seem to differentiate much between RSA Celts, Masters or whatever faded parchment a backpacker could dig out ouf her rucksack. Sometimes, qualifications can get in the way. I've been ruled over by some right cowboys out there. (hi guys !)

If you are dealing with the more reputable schools, then Your Masters would get you on the highest pay scale.
Best contract deals, salaries etc come form working in the International Schools. I would swap my Masters anyday for qualifications to teach in one of those schools. What was I thinking of !
Thats my tuppence

Thanks for the pic. Do you have any of you wearing a skirt ?
