Hi,
Anyone done the phone unlocking thing in Indonesia? Is it straight forward? I'm in Britain on holiday and Argos (as im 2.99 from argos) have pretty cheap jelly-bones but theyre locked into either Vodaphone or Orange. Is it easy to get them onto an Indonesian SIM? Also , Tri-band is right, right?
Ta, for your help.

If they are Nokia or most models of Motorola any dodgy mobile phone shop in Indo can unlock them. Also possible to get phone unlocked at shady phone shops in the UK. Cost about a tenner last time I did it. |

There are small stalls at markets and poky shops in back lanes in the UK that unlock phones.
I know it can be done - a friend of mine here has a Vodafone branded phone, and I've seen a second-hand Orange phone on sale. |

Hi Phil, I'm pretty sure they can unlock any phone, just go to any of the phone stalls in hypermart or somewhere like that. It'll cost you 150k to get sorted (around half that from a phone shop in Bali. I've had it done a few times. |
