Well, the EF branch that I work for has bought the Lippo Karawaci branch, and are planning to open in April, still inside the Supermal, right around the corner from the old site. I have talked to the teachers who work there currently, and they really liked working there. The owner of the school I am at now is great, and I don't foresee any problems in the future.

Dear Jhemmila, congratulations on your new position as both the Promotion and Recruitment Director. Can I have your email address to apply for the job?

From all these horror stories I keep reading on this forum I'm glad I'm not working here in Jakarta as a teacher.

And the blokes mother can commit criminal assault and nothing can be done about it?

None of that ever happened. I know the man, and that simply never happened. That's one or two stories based on a misperception, possibly cultural, that got exaggerated all out of shape. That's utterly ridiculous. I have no idea what happened to that school, or whether it was the company, the franchisee, or a combination of the two. But the above story is a load of c**p.
