Hi, has anybody here heard of, or worked for this place? I've done searches but I can't find a single post or thread with even a mention of them, which has me a bit wary. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

I don`t know. I keep sending them resumes and they never answer. They and Adversity are two recruiters that always have ads on line but never respond to queries. Makes me suspicious. |

I emailed them and got a reply to give her call to set up a meeting. No harm in meeting with them I guess. I'll set it up, and give feedback to whoever wants to know afterwards. If anybody's got any info, it would be much appreciated Thanks,

I've been dealing with AHPLA for years. Very good people to work for. Karen is likely the person you'll be dealing with...very friendly, professional, and to-the-point.
The only drawback at AHPLA is the difficulty in pulling together a lot of hours. They tend not to be able to hand a complete slate of 30 hours, for example. No problem in bridging those hours to other employment, as is common in DF.
Be sure to ask Karen about the FM3. They will help you with that. |

You should call or drop by. You don't stand out by email if they get dozens of resumes all at once. |

AHPLA sounds like a good outfit to work for. Since I don't need lots of hours, maybe I should get in touch with Karen. Do you have any idea how much they're paying? |

BTW I have had contact with Adversity (which I think is a terrible name!). They pay up to $170 ph, keep a list of teachers and offer the classes to the first to respond to a call. They are located in San Miguel Chapultepec, close to Juanacatlan Metro, in the house of the owner. Not much chance of a full schedule there either. |

AHPLA is an institute that I interviewed with more than 10 years ago. In fact, it was the first institute I ever interviewed with. I got a real good impression from them and they were honest and forthcoming.
In all of their ads they say they are looking for teachers in Mexico so I'd suggest that you go and visit them in person, as Guy suggested. |
