I would greatly appreciate it if anyone might be able to provide information on where I might find info on how to submit a resume for teaching to Tec de Monterrey. I've got my degree in History with 2 years experience teaching at Christian schools in the U.S. I am interested in the possibility of teaching either Secondary or College at Tec. If you have any info please e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks,
Rob |

Tec de Monterrey has 33 campuses and each English/Language dept does their own hiring. Go to www.itesm.mx to get acquainted with the school. Each campus has a webpage as well. I teach at the Toluca campus.
Without a master's, it is highly unlikely that you will teach at the college (or 'profesional' ) level. The ITESM system insists on masters for profesional, and is even starting to push for it at the high school level! You will also most likely start at the "catedra" or part-time level. Thats the bad news. The good news is that Tec pays MUCH better than just about anyone else.
I recommend that you chose the campuses you are most interested in and find out who the director of the English/Language dept is. Send him/her an email (dont send letters by regular mail - they might never get them!) or call them.
BTW, Tec - Toluca will be opening a new Prepa (High School) on the opposite side of town (Metepec) and Im sure will be hiring big time for there! |
