Fatih University has just fired 80 Professors, Instructors and Chairs. No one knows why. I think it's just sad to see so many good people let go with no "reason". I say it's a political issue, but who knows. Many had already given notice prior to the slash in staff however for those who were staying or thought they were the question still stands. Why? Many great Instructors that I know were let go without so much as a piece of validation.

I only pray for those who have been cut without a valid reason that they will be blessed with something much better. I again ask... WHY?

Sorry, but I seriously thought that this post was a comment on Fatih Terim's contract extension until 2012, as the manager of the Turkish national football team.
Still, now I'm here. What exactly did you mean by the political motives behind the job losses. You didn't elaborate.
