This was just received by the people who run sabis-warning.com. It was sent to their hosting company:

This website uses the company for whom I work and its copyrighted
material in a derogatory, defamatory and professionally harmful way.

1. I understand the nature of free speech on the internet and
all that but I was wondering if you could advise me on whether
people are allowed to talk about others in a defamatory way to the
extent that it effects their jobs and their companies?

2. They also use trademarked and copyrighted terms from our
company, is this allowed?

3. I also believe that there is a NOC form that I can complete
and submit which might help my situation. If this could be forwarded
to me with instructions I would be very grateful.

4. Finally the mere mention of company copyrighted names
jeopardises our business, implies that we are thieves, corrupt,
racist and our 122 year old name and is really unfair ,disturbing
and morally wrong , although I understand your limited position I
would still ask for your guidance in this matter.

5. Several attempts have been made by legitimate staff members
to submit positive testimonials but these have been blocked.

#5 is a BLATANT lie.

Any advice out there? We really want to make sure people who are considering a position with SABIS understand what they're getting into because we would have liked the same opportunity.

My personal opinion is that they should post OUR testimonials along with the cherry-picked and edited ones they show new hires and post on their website. Then I'd be happy to tear the thing down.

The use of copyright material is the excuse they often use to get the hosting company to shut you down. If the hosting company is in the US it gets common carrier exemption for libel, but is still liable for intellectual property theft if it has been warned. Get a mirror site set up quickly and ignore the threats.

It wasn't a threat. Sabis-warning received the email and it was shut down simultaneously, without previous warning.

They're back up as of today. I'm not sure about the chain of events that led to this, but I'm glad to see it.

For another view of the lovely sabis system check up chouiefatis anonymous - an obviously partial and completely biased blogspot.

To all Choueifatis and Ex-Choueifatis. I would like to apologize for my increadibly long absence. To those of you who know I'm sure you'll understand. I won't be able to continue the website. Unfortunately the higher ups (The really higher ups) discovered my real identity and did not take to kindly to my writing. I only felt it necessary that I did not end this so abruptly. So I shall write this in a certain frame of detail.
After my identity was discovered. I went through the whole nine yards and SABIS spared nothing when it came to dragging me. They said that if I apologised in front of the school and on the site than I would be allowed to return for the next academic year. After continuous pressure put by the school on my parents. I apologised in front of the entire classroom for a start. Those of you who were in the room at the time know how I truely felt.
I understand that SABIS felt threatened. But why would you refuse to deal with it? and why did you have to go and sink so low as to scare the hell out of both my parents. I will be frank and say thanks allot for putting me through that shit. You people had me put on anti-depressants for a while because of it. Are you satisfied?
Apart from that, I really bare no serious grudge. Yes I got kicked out but I don't really see this as the end of my world. I'm going to another school in another country. And I'm going to be really happy because there will be no more annoyances there that I usually faced from SABIS on a daily basis. Pompous supervisors, AMS's, dreadful acting by those above. All gone. And I am so happy.
There is one thing I will miss in Choueifat. And that's the students. Regardless of how smart or stupid there was a certain sense of unity that was shared by a common dislike of the same things. I will also miss the increadible conversations I had with them during class and increadibly interesting things we came up with to pass time, such as the human battering ram.
I know some of you will be sad to see the site will have to stop being updated. But listen when I say that if you have any grievances to share. You know what to do. I wish you all the best in life, don't you dare feel bad for me because nothing bad really happned.
Love, KyoDes
P.S. To a Maastrichan and a Donbassan. I miss you both badly. I'm still south and I'd love to hear from you.

The people operating these sites must have some mighty axes to grind if they shell out the money for a dot com--there are so many free options available.

If they get shut down by one host, it is easy to find another.

I've always believed that the ESL Cafe's gripe board was a sufficient means of getting one's be-chipped shoulder massaged.

It's up. I just checked.

It's not so much about getting a chipped shoulder massage as about making sure people don't get put through the same crap we did. You'd be surprised how infrequently Dave's pops up on a google search, and anything here is readily explained away by SABIS recruiters as "a few unhappy people, no company can make everyone happy, this company isn't for everyone but you seem so nice... do those people have 120 years of teaching experience?"

Things written on this forum can be easily discredited. You would be AMAZED how many hits those sites get, especially from google searches.
