Time to leave, folks.

Thanks for the kind words, general support and advice from all of you Smile. (Well, from almost all of you Sad ).

I've enjoyed my time in the ME (visited all the Gulf states except Kuwait and the KS of A) and in Egypt (Does Egypt qualify for the ME?).

Leaving for India tomorrow, will go to Cairo for a short business visit and then back to India to join the new set-up there (with the same employer).

I had joined this board when I was a teacher and have received valuable advice from many at Dave's. Thanks, everyone!

Must say that, even after I quit being a teacher and went back to industry, Dave's had had me hooked. However, since I am no longer a teacher, I guess it is time to quit posting here.

I must confess to having jacked a few threads. A big sorry to the OPs.

Cheers, everybody!

Lall.

PS: Mishmumkin, I've compiled a list of live entertainment places I've been to in Bahrain and will post the same on your Bahrain thread.

All the best, Lall. No ''good riddance'' from me. I hope things go well for you in your native land.
Regards
SR

Dear lall,
No "good riddance" from me, either. I've always enjoyed reading your posts, and I assure you that you will be missed.
But you may be back. I "left" Dave's for about three years after I returned from Saudi Arabia. However, I got homesick for the place and returned. I'm still teaching, but not EFL or ESL anymore, so in a way, I suppose I'm something of an interloper here these days.
You may eventually decide to come back again, too. I hope you do.
In the meantime, all the best and au revoir.
Regards,
John

Nor from me. We are losing our Bahrain source. Laughing

Mabruk on the new job and I hope that going "home" works out.

No, I wouldnt say 'Good riddance' either. I liked your posts --- look in from time to time if things get too heated on this forum, and try to cool them down! All the best.
