Hi I have been reading posts on this website for a while to gain a feel for the working env't in Dubai. I have some questions I hope you can help me with. I am a primary school teacher with one years experience. Can you suggest the best schools for me to contact and give me an indication of how much I can earn?
Kind regards,

Stay in Australia at the job you have now for another 2 years and then look at what's available in the UAE - not just Dubai, which is a hell of a place to live in! |

There are a good few schools who will hire a teacher with just one year's experience, but zoot gives good advice about waiting. Right now you might earn between 8000-11,000 dirhams/month plus some sort of accommodation. The high end of the scale reserved for better schools. Great schools tend to prefer a teacher with more experience. Since you're australian I can't answer which school would be best for you, though I know a lot of Aussie teachers at Uptown Mirdif in Dubai which is an IB school. Rather than ask for "the best" it would be easier if you researched schools in the UAE and came back with questions about them. New schools open up every year and multiple curricula are offered. |

There is an Australian school in Sharjah - not sure if it has primary level. |
