So I got a visa for Vietnam which starts on July 5th. I just got a notice from my airline which announced that my flight has been changed to arrive earlier, on July 4. Is this a huge problem? What should I do?

You can't enter until the day that your visa begins.

I'd better keep all my luggage in hand, then.

July the 4th or July the 5th . . . where?

VN in 11 hours - ahead - of American EST. Check your time zones/date lines.

Maybe you can squeeze by. Otherwise you may have to wait in the airport a few hours.

I e-mailed the embassy and they said there 'might' be a fine.
