That segue song between units of New Interchange is starting to get to me. It sounds like 70's porn. Everytime I hear it, I picture two people with feathered mullets going at it with each other. My school CD players aren't equipped with manual fastforward, so I have to listen through it to get to the material. My students give me bewildered looks and are visibly taken aback by it, except for three junior high students of mine who insist on playing air guitar through it.

Damn you Jack Richards.

Sorry, just had to vent.

Very, very funny! I also use the interchange tapes in 2 of my classes. I like your imagery. I don't know why, but I always feel sad when I hear the music...

But now I will think of your student cringing, and then the 2 kids playing air guitar!

70s porn...LOL You really made my day! Cool Cool Cool

Yeah, I had to put up with it for 2 years, so I know what you mean. I didn't like it. The students didn't like it. Did Jack C. Richards lose a bet or something? For a guy who figures so prominantly on my reading lists, you'd think he'd endorse better music. Wink

Oh, well.

Always fast forward by it myself. BUT and this is my MAJOR gripe with the man. How the f@ck did he chose those 8 peices for the warm up to likes and dislikes. I mean have you heard the "rock"? and as for the "rap" well crap is more like it. I've been meaning to record my own music for that bit for years and these days I have to teach the same class with this book 6 times a week.
Du dun dun du du dun du......
