I don't really know where to post this question, so I'll start here. Anyone know anything about this company or the Bishkek International School? Any info would be helpful. UPDATE... My husband is a defence contractor in Bishkek. QSI sounds like they need someone BADLY for this teaching position. However, they want to hire me as a "local hire" since my husband is already there. That means I get no benefits such as airfare, shipping allowance, housing allowance, visa, etc. What are your thoughts? Thanks! |

It depends how badly you want/need the job, in your case probably not enough to settle for such a poor contract. I would negotiate some financial compensation in lieu of the flights etc Other posters will be better informed to tell you about the teaching scene in Bishkek but I would hazard a guess that there are not so many native speakers in competition for available jobs, giving you room for negotiation. |
