Cordiales saludos a todos,

I'm thinking about moving up to Medellin from my current location in Buenos Aires, and have some questions regarding salaries and the cost of living in Medellin. Most of the info I've found has been either a) about bogota, b) out of date or c) both.

Through a friend a school (colegio) in Medellin has contacted me about an english teaching position. The salary is 1.2 million per month plus benefits (it seems that it is en blanco, not sure how that works with the visa situation). Can anyone comment on how far that salary will take you (it seems like 770 dollars per month which will get you by in BsA). It seems to me that the rents are slightly lower there than here, but that's hard to confirm from a distance.

I would be interested too if anyone could post information on this place; it seems to get less atention than other places..I've heard very good things about it but it also depends on whom you talk to from Colombia (very regionalistic people)
