I'm sure you're all off for the summer...Does the Qatari govt require that birth and marriage certs along with your highest obtained degree be "authenticated" like they are in the UAE?

I am a new hire and will be arriving in Qatar mid-August. I did not have to authenticate any of my documention. I was asked to produce copies of my degrees and qualifications and order transcripts from the educational institutions. The only original document I must provide is my government-issued marriage certificate.

I didn't have to authenticate anything for QU. I did however have to show original docs and we were recently asked to have official college transcripts sent out to management.
If you don't mind me asking, MM, why are you posting this question on the Qatar forum? I thought you were UAE-bound.

Everything needs to be certified at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Make sure all your documents are stamped by your embassy before you come here. They've been scammed by people with fake documents so now there is careful vetting.
