Hi there,

I spent a month doing a summer camp in A Coruna with a company called "Forenex" which was lots of fun the summer before this one. Im currently doing a years contract in Costa Rica but have decided I would maybe like to live long term in Galicia (Im thinking maybe Vigo), so I would be very interested to hear what you have found out about schools there, there definately seem to be far less than in other parts of Spain. OK, good luck

Will

HEY WILL

Cheers for your reply!
Im heading out in a couple of weeks for a good 10 months.Have a job lined up.
It seems to be a beautiful part of the world..have visited on many occassions so hoping the long stay will prove enjoyable!
There seems to be schools in vigo, pontevedra,a coruna, ribadeo, gijon, oviedo etc.aparantly round about the vigo area they have their own micro climate so it gets very nice weather!!
(im heading towards ribadeo)
when ive done a few months I will let you know what the life style is like.
Costa Rica is a place i would love to go to also.if you could let me know your views after a while i will be pleased to hear.
Good luck

Hi,

Well Ive been here six months now, the country is wonderful, you certainly get your animal/volcano/beach fix. I work for the International House in San Jose. Its the capital city where a lot of the work is and its nothing to write home about. It can be quite dangerous as well, so swings and roundabouts. Id definitely recommend it for a year as you can get away on the weekends and see some great stuff. Let me know how you get on in Glaicia.

hello,

do you mind if i muscle in on your conversation?...

i know its a few months on, but I could really do with some feedback from both of you...i'm going out to costa rica in a few weeks to work at international house/instituto britanico, and i was also considering workking in galicia after my year in san jose.

could you tell me about working for international house in san jose? do you get plenty of time off to get to the beaches etc? i surf and i plan to do a lot of it out there when i get the chance. how is the city in general? i'm expecting it to be dirty, not great to look at, a bit dodgy at night if you're alone etc...is that a fair description? is there a nearby area to the school that you'd recommend getting an apartment at?

and galicia...i'd just be keen to hear about your experiences there. i like northern spain but i'd like to see more of it (and surf more of it Smile...). so if you come across any good schools/towns near the coast, i'd be grateful of the info...

cheers, hope to hear some more.
