Looking for a partner to set up an English school (academia) in Pontevedra, a city in northwest Spain; preferably British / Irish teachers who are familiar with this part of Spain. |

Let me know if you haven't found a partner yet, or if you have and are looking for teachers. I'm moving up there with my teaching boyfriend later this month and it would be good to talk. |

Hi, Im replying to an old thread that you posted about starting a company in Pontevedra.
My girlfriend and I are experienced teachers, we currently living in Costa Rica and before that we spent a few years in Barcelona. We are thinking about moving long term to the Vigo area, so would obviously be interested on how (or how you didnt) get on, working in the area.
Many thanks

Hi Will,
My wife and I visited Pontevedra in 2002 (jeez...hard to believe it was that long ago already!) with a view to checking out the language school situation...and with a vague idea of going and living there. We liked the town but saw that one or two private schools had already set up, and that kind of put us off. Still, as you say, Galicia is probably less populated with EFLers than other parts of Spain. I haven't been to Vigo yet. |
