A lot of people get stuck in certain countries because of their age. What are the restrictions in Saudi right now?

I work in Libya, 6 on and 3 off, with a load of Brits and I love it. Our teachers range from mid 30s to over 60 and MOD EDITI've heard that over 35 you can't get a job in many countries in Asia. Is that true?

I have had colleagues ranging in age from mid-20s to mid-60s, with everything in between. I would say that, because many jobs require an MA, and because KSA isn't exactly the dream destination for the 20-something ESL backpacker brigade, the age profile in most ESL faculties here is probably somewhat higher than in other parts of the world.

That said, some places will not take on new teachers over the age of 60, though currently employed teachers may be allowed to stay past their 60th birthday. It has been said that state-run colleges are not permitted to employ teachers in their 60s, though I'm not sure how strictly this rule is enforced.

The money is between 2 and 3 thousand pounds a month, full board and 6 flights a year.

Job's a piece of cake.

..I love it when people who aren't here assume stuff.

We have a beautiful pool, a modern gym, great other facilities and live in very modern chalets equipped with sat tv and mini fridges. Free internet access and calls home etc etc.

It all depends on who you are working for see.
