Dear all,

I have a potential problem that I would like to see redressed ASAP. My contract is due to finish on Mar. 1st and have two (obvious) options open to me:

1. Resign for another 6 months.
2. Look elsewhere.

Option 1 is preferable, especially in my case, but I would like to keep my options open, naturally. My school has not indicated an interest in a renewal for now, but this may change in a few days (hopefully!)

My case is somewhat unique as I am not an English teacher, but rather a maths and/or physics teacher (making job hunting just a little harder!). If I am to look elsewhere, it would be for another 6 months only as I intend to return to my home country in September.

If anyone knows of any school looking for a foreign teacher for the teaching of maths and/or physics, then I would be most grateful if you could PM me.

Many thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer me,

Take care, all.

Milamber.

If I understand you correctly, you want to SIGN AGAIN ("resign")?

If not, you would like to have a similar job, or a job in your field of physics and maths?

Near my home is a privately-owned college that has western phyiscs and other subject teachersd on their payroll, and they do pay rather haandsomely (or so I heard).
I used to disparage the school, and not without reason; yet a physics teacher working there has not moved for a couple of years so far. The school is located in Guangdong, if that is of any importance to you.

Thanks Roger!

Now you can see from my message that I'm not an English teacher (resign?!?! What was I thinking?).

Guangdong is a little far for me at the moment, as my preference would be Jiangsu province and maybe the surrounding ones. However, many thanks for the information, you never know, it may prove invaluable.

Thanks again.
