Hi,
I was just browsing the Korean job board and there seems to be a lot of placement agencies out there. I just recently sent my resume to Eurotemp about teaching in England.
What is the deal with these places? How legit are they? |

Korea seems to have lots of placement agencies. As for Eurotemps, I've heard mixed reviews about them. |

First off it is better to post on the board for where you intend to go. Second even a good placement agency cannot guarantee what it is going to be like where you work management wise as this changes quite often in many places. Many places use an agency because of the language barrier and the complications getting all the visa work done.
The agent picks up a set charge or so many weeks of what you would get paid which is not a fortune. If you get problems the main party that you have to deal with is the place employing you; not the agent. The agent can be handy but to get you out of a spot where you don't fit in. In other words they can find a replacement for you and get you into a new job. However dont expect this as it doesn't happen all the time. |
