Before I start, I know that this is a very broad question. It's an initial query because I have no idea where to start looking on this one.
I'm interested in teaching somewhere (yes, I am that clueless) in Africa next year. By then I will have two years experience teaching efl in China. I have no formal tefl (or teaching) qualifications, but (rarely for China) I am a good teacher. I've been well trained by my school, and have extensive experience teaching young learners.
I've tried google searches, but I don't really have a place to start. I'm not looking to make much (if any) money but I can only commit for 6 months.
Any ideas? |

Do you have a degree?I think you are going to have trouble finding what you are looking for, especially since you want to only teach for six months(that lets out the Peace Corps, which asks for a two year commitment).
At any rate, especially if you want to get a position in sub-Saharan Africa, you will probably have to go the volunteer route. However, most of the volunteer agencies provide a small monthly stipend and other benefits. Most of them require a commitment for more than six months.
There are also "regular"(i.e. paying) jobs in places like Morocco,Tunisia,Egypt. Most of them are going to require at least a bachelors degree. They will almost undoubtedly want a commitment of more than six months.
Best of luck.
There are just not a great number of teaching jobs in Africa, unlike China. |

That sounds like a great vacation,if you can swing it financially.Definitely get the necessary shots before going.....and avoid some countries entirely.Africa can be a great adventure, but in a lot of places you have to be on your guard every minute. Also, the paperwork (visas) etc.for different countries can be a hassle.Still, with planning, you will probably have a great time if you go...good luck. |

Interesting development.
Do they agree that Metalica can be used in music stuff.
One teacher, who remained nameless thought St. Anger was ok.
Not sure. |

What ever you do do not go to Cambridge CITC Sudan. Check it out on the web first. You will regret it. |
