My employer said, she can't move yet because I haven't replied to the letter of job offering, which I never received. Now, she is asking if I want her to send it to me through my email. We have been emailing to each other since ..how come, there seems to be a problem now??

I would appreciate if you can update me re this.

Thanks.

Did she make you a job offer?

Did you formally accept the job offer in an email?

A letter of invitation cannot be sent to you by email. I doubt that a Chinese Consulate General would accept a copy of an invitation letter these days, although like anything else, it did happen in the past.

Your post is a little confusing so perhaps you can ask your potential new boss what she means by letter of offer? Things are a little confused here it would appear in the lingo.

I send herewith a copy of her letter to me. Please figure things out for me.
Thanks

"Just a friendly reminder. Hhave you received our letter of offer because I have not received any acknowledgement from you. The only reason I asked is because of the tightening in issuing of entry visa from Chinese Government. You cannot come to China on tourist visa to work and you will not be issued a visa so readily. We have to do the preliminery process in ShenZhen for you with the required documents. This process takes over 1 month.
If you are really serious about this job, please speed up a little in your reply. "

This reads quite normal to me. They have made you a formal job offer in writing. Have you accepted this job offer by return email or fax? This isn't more complicated than that. They are not going to start processing your papers unless and until you formally accept the offer.

This is rather standard world-wide business practice...

North Laowei!

Whew! Thank you very much! Oh yes, I remember that now. But back in NY-U.S.A., it was just an SOP and I received it usually when I had already started working. It was also the kind of letter that I had to send to the immigration in relation for my work petition -

I also received one from my email sent by that fake Dubai employer.

In this China job, after the second interview, I was already told of everything that was going to be in that letter of job offer. So, for me, it would just be mere formality.

Anyhow, I already emailed to them to send the job letter offer ASAP by email! I am now waiting for that email..Now, I guess, I will have to send it via DHL back to them??

Thank you! Wheww..What a relief!!
