I've recently been offered a position at this school and was wondering if anyone out has either worked there or knows anyone that has. Thanks in advance.

I would give it a go. Have never worked there but know personally one of the office staff and one of the teachers. Both said it is a huge improvement on the nearby EF school which I worked at. Also Cibubur is as nice an area as you are likely to get in Jakarta even considering the distance from town. A few places to drink out there.

The owner of the school was a CM at EF Cibubur between 2005 1nd 2006 and made some awful business decisions whilst there - including employing a DOS who was an absolute tyrant.

Maybe she has learnt from her mistakes and is running a tight ship. now - who knows ???

Cibubur itself isn't a bad place to live in my opinion.

Depends on what you're here for - Blok M is a bit of a trek if you want to work here for the nightlife. PM me if you need more info on the town and surrounding area.

jane, I think I know who you may be referring to but I worked for EF Cibubur after that time and most of the teachers said it went downhill even quicker from that point on.

I know one of the receptionists who was good at her job, friendly and helpful to all the teachers and spoke english. But the new leaders thought she was a threat and fired her paving the way for her to move to YES. The DoS at EF Cibubur from 2007 - was a non native and a tyrant in his own right albeit in a more silent way.
