I was briefly interested in teaching in Alaska a few years ago. I registered with a website called something like Alaska Teaching Fair or something similar (sorry, it's been a while and I think I finally removed myself from their mailing list). I got fairly regular emails about job openings--lots of K-12 positions in remote places. Some university work, too, but I didn't research the jobs fully enough to remember them now.

Found the site - thanks, Denise. Hope things at SQU are going well for you.
I imagine that ESL numbers among adults in community colleges and unis might be low due to the extreme climate conditions. If anyone knows of any such programs, please post the info. |
