				| I'm seriously considering leaving the Middle Kingdom until the Olympics are dead and buried. I'm just completely fed up with all the random deportations, visa hassles and mandatory police registration whenever you travel. I'm hoping it will return to normal around the end of this year.
I'm thinking I'll just book a flight to Bangkok, relax for a week or two and then head up to HCMC to look for work. I've got 5 years experience between France and China, and a BA in English. Should be no problem right?

I'm assuming there's no real need for a work permit.

Also given the history do you thing it would be a bad idea for my Chinese girlfriend to join me for a couple of months? Every Vietnamese I've ever met seems to violently detest even the mention of the country.

				| You will have no problem finding work. Bring your girlfriend. Why not I say. A good percentage of the Vietnamese are Chinese. I actually live in China Town so I dont see why they would take issue. From what I have experienced they will treat your girlfriend with the same 'respect' they treat everybody else who is not pure blood Vietnamese. | |

				| I agree!!! I have been to Nam once on vacation. China sucks.. Even Korea is better.. The best is Tokyo though... You can really party over there. | |
