Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a website with roster (and possibly grade, but I often use the same ones for both) forms you can print out. I've misplaced some paper copies that I have and am looking at using a shortcut rather than having to make something. The ones I had listed up to 25 students on a sheet, but if anyone has links to one for 30 that would be great (I only have 1 class over 30).

Also, does anyone know of forms for printing out class seating charts as well. I have some that I've made, but wouldn't mind a better sample the future.

Thanx in advance,

GA

PS I did a google and a yahoo search for this, but seem to be pulling up only directions on how to make one or samples for only 5-10 students.

Dear gaijinalways,

Can you use Excel (it works for Mac or PC - once you download it, go to the
File tab and click on New Workbook?)

or there's a Word blank form here that can be modified:

Why not just use Word's table function? You'll have to customize every seating chart anyway to the size of the rooms and number of students.

Rotate the page format to landscape instead of portrait for larger/wider rooms. I've done this with A4 paper with 70 in a classroom. For 90 or more, it gets unwieldly, but you could make it on larger paper (A3).

Like I said, I was trying to avoid doing that. I could install an English version of Word and Excel on my desktop, but right now it's so buggy I don't want to risk it (we've been slow to have the engineer come over to straighten out the problems we have).

I was looking for something simplier than either of these suggestions. Personally I find Excel a pain to use, and Word is okay, but it takes a lot of tinkering to get exactly what you want for a table.

Anyway, I found my attendance sheets, so I am not concerned about the grade sheets, but the seating charts are a nuisance to make, thought someone must have templates to make them (I have them for most classes this semester already, so there's no hurry).

I think that no matter what template you use/find, it will always have to be customized to the room format you have.

So, why not just make it yourself? If making tables in Word is too difficult, break out the pencil and ruler! Wink

But I have seen people that make them and offer them online, just can't remember where. And often, the ones online can be customized.

When I have used Word, it's difficult to get the exact size squares you want. I personally find it quicker to draw it by hand or to take it off a website. The current roster I have someone had copied from somewhere, so I have only paper copies. Some of my seating charts are from last year, some are based on pc rom charts which are readily available form the school.

Also Glenski, the seating chart doesn't have to be exact for that room, you can always lop off a few seats if they have too many.
