Dear Capergirl,
Whoa, man - now there's a song that'll raise a few hackles, I'll wager ( uh, that is, if my Significant Other allows me to bet).

That's one of the many great songs by comedian Sean Morey. Sounds like that was a live recording of "The Man Song" performed on the Bob and Tom Show (which is a syndicated morning radio program in the United States). Guys, before you get too upset with Mr. Morey, he also has a song called "The Woman Song" which you have to hear sometime (I wish I had a link to it!). Dear Lanza,

I was unfamiliar with the term Feminazi prior to coming to Dave's myself. As near as I can tell, it means "female raised in a Western country".

I believe that the term "feminazi" was coined by talk show host Rush Limbaugh. He used it to refer to such women as Hilary Clinton and Gloria Steinam. THen again, he was on a lot of opiates...

My answer was tongue in cheek (obviously?)...a dig at a few of the guys on this forum who have thrown the term out when posting about why they prefer Asian women.

However, a google search shows Celeste to be correct:

Feminazi is a pejorative term coined by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh to refer to the feminists that he personally finds the most obnoxious. According to Limbaugh, "a feminazi is a woman to whom the most important thing in life is seeing to it that as many abortions as possible are performed." (source: The Way Things Ought To Be, Rush Limbaugh, p. 192-93, July 2, 1992). Limbaugh also uses the "feminazi" term during discussions of feminist actions or attitudes not specifically related to abortion.

Others use the term even more loosely than Limbaugh, referring to one or more feminists, drawing an allusion between them and the Nazis, often with varying definitions and explanations of the feminazi term. The term seems to be often used to refer to "militant" feminists, using the 'nazi' portion of the term to draw an analogy with totalitarianism in general rather than the Nazi party per se.

The use of the term is often seen a form of ad hominem attack; especially when the term is used more loosely, it can also be seen as ironic or cruel, as Hitler's National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) strongly opposed feminism and advocated the singular role of the woman as a "breeder" and child-care provider.
